It means you'll be able to pay Bitcoin QR codes as well as create Bitcoin addresses to receive funds onchain.

In a gaming environment, nothing beats Lightning in my opinion. The instantaneity is essential, can't be waiting for blocks to be mined. That being said, there are countless reasons to have onchain support on the platform.
