This post was inspired by @birdeye21, so half of whatever sats it garners should go to him so that he can continue to grace us with his interesting questions.
Anyway, yesterday a Stacker mentioned how he is energised by the interesting problems he encounters in his job, to which birdeye21 remarked simply “ikigai”. For the uninitiated, ikigai is a Japanese word that denotes a way of living. It’s often translated as “life purpose”. This means that a person who is living by his or her ikigai has found the sweet spot where passion, ability, profession and vocation are all aligned. He receives remuneration to serve the world through something that he can call both his forte and psssion.
Which leads me to the question: is spreading awareness of BTC the reason why you jump out of bed every morning, excited to do God’s work? Perhaps you are a content creator producing podcasts on the various developments affecting Bitcoin? Perhaps you are a consumer trying to help a merchant get onboard the Lightning Network?
Or is Bitcoin just one aspect of your dynamic life? How heavily is Bitcoin weighed against all other things in your life?
Hey that was me! Lol nice

Short answer: Yes
Long answer: In my early adult years I could see society was broken but I couldn't understand why, or see the bigger picture. This led me down many dark rabbit holes in the search of truth.
A sprinkle of several conspiracy theories (some now facts) and a helping of a few shitcoin sandwiches 🥪, it has led me back to what truly matters, the fight against totalitarianism and the "us vs them" argument (people against government, rich against the poor, woke against anti-woke, etc.).
Bitcoin represents so many different things to people, and it's this unifying trait of equality and financial empowerment that shows me we can make a difference in this world, and the overused saying of "Bitcoin fixes this" actually is true.
It's this feeling, or purpose that is driving me to get vocal, creative, start teaching, just anything related to Bitcoin.

Nicely written. I can sense your conviction! How have you been trying to teach plebs about Bitcoin?

So far, I've only been onboarding friends and family, 6 of 50 but two of them are now shitcoin holders so they are dead to me :)
My main focus is to find the best way to add value in this space. I have spent the last few years distancing myself from toxic people and building a new routine, and now I'm in a position to make a difference. But I'm struggling with a major roadblock - I need to figure out where to begin.
Many great podcasts and blogs already provide valuable information and education on the subject, and I don't want to create something that duplicates their efforts. But at the same time, I need to start somewhere. I plan to emulate the greats and find my style and narrative along the way.

How has formulating your style and narrative been? Hope you have been able to make some progress
I think sometimes you may rehash the same old tired things but because you deliver it in a way that is so characteristically yours, some people gravitate towards your messages. You build rapport with them in a way no one else can

Thank you wise Sensei 🙇‍♂️
I needed that, especially this morning. It's been a shit week, well shit start to the year, but I know it's nothing in the grand scheme, and I'm still very lucky and privileged.
Guess I've been stuck in analysis paralysis with a sprinkle of perfectionism.

I’m a bit embarrassed that you zapped me 500 sats for a simple check-in haha
Just write the first paragraph and post it. You don’t have to come out with a full-fledged essay at this point in time. Do something that scares you every day. Tag me so that I can zap you ⚡️

Appreciate the shout out:)
Bitcoin is certainly one component of my ikigai; patiently aligning the other components right now…
I don’t get out of bed motivated by Bitcoin itself but rather by knowing I get to work on what matters to me. There’s plenty more to my life that I’d be happy to work on and find that ikigai, but I certainly am not complaining that Bitcoin fills that role right now.
Kind of also want to say fk it all and start a sheep farm or something, maybe later!

Which part of the world are you from, mate?
It’s interesting what you say about the sheep farm. I watched the Blue Zones on Netflix yesterday and it seems that the men in Sardinia, Italy live past 100 because they worked as shepherds. Because they had control over how to raise and rear their sheep, they don’t suffer from chronic stress. Something for you to chew on xP
