I wrote about it some time ago, I believe it's definitely a great way to store your bitcoin, if not THE best.
It goes without saying that you need to trust the other signers, but it's not even that important as they can't do much without another signer.
I did it using Electrum they have a good and clear doc about it.

It goes without saying that you need to trust the other signers
IF you're using distributed custody of keys.
There is also a geographically separated self-custody of keys.
