Theses apps are cool but plain text never goes obsolete.

What I love about plain text is that it never dies but you can also add syncing, encryption, cool editor tools and still own your own data and never lock into some fade tool. This tool is probably cool but plain text doesn't get enough consideration.

I agree.
Would be awesome when AnyType support this kind of features like Obsidian.

I use a notebook and pen too, I have a locker full of them with notebooks going back to 2006. I use them to order my thoughts and sparkle creativity. But those books does not fit my personal knowlegde management requirements. Like making my notes searchable for later use and edit them with new insights.
I don't agree they are a distraction, these tools are making me way more productive with processing data => information => knowledge => wisdom (saved in my head). It's really a second brain because I know my brains are not build to memorize everything.

I can smell CRDTs miles away. The website is beautiful too.
I'd love for someone to really knock this out of the park.

I've been pretty happy with Notesnook. Zero knowledge encryption and open source.

I had been an alpha test for Anytype too. Super difficult to use in my opinion. I might check it out again, but what I'm using now is Obsidian. Standard markdown text files. Straightforward to use.

I wonder why they chose to use ENS instead of standard DNS for their naming system Any Name System. 🤔

Really cool!
Personally, I edit my notes with Obsidian.md, it works really well too, it has many plugins to build various systems, syncing is a paid option but I keep it in a git repo so I don't need that feature.
On mobile I have a git client and link Obsidian there so it's still portable, on my PC it auto commits with a custom daemon running git-sync.

I'm a Notion user, but I'm migrating all my stuff into AnyType (I was an alpha user).
But the software is still really beta and I miss a lot of features on the mobile app (like copy-pasting something is a crime many times because the app selects a block on a long press). So expect some friction when you start using it. Nevertheless, the community is pretty strong and the team behind AnyType is really transparent. For me it works better than Obsidian because I'm also a UX-minded guy =)
