Since we are mostly reliant on donations, and those sats you send us are very hard to earn, we feel it important to be transparent on our spending.
In an effort to reduce noise, we’ve separated the various projects that emerged organically from Noderunners Radio, namely, the Jukebox Bot, the Noderunners Radio itself, and Sesh.
We will strive to provide a clear picture to you on how these things develop as we work on them. Currently, updates are sent out over a variety of platforms such as nostr, X, GitHub, bolt.fun, stacker.news, etc.
We have received some very generous donations from fellow plebs and we thank you for it! Your support will help us continue building new features and supporting the peers working on various aspects within the different projects. For instance, Hero who did a lot of work on the Jukebox Bot is on the road a lot, and was in need of some hardware (usb-hub). Also, Einzie who takes care of the radio.noderunners.org page has been donating his time, energy and server to host stuff for us. SF has been working on visuals and keeping comms open to the outside world in an attempt to make transparent what we are working on. Additionally SF’s been busy trying to find like minded people that may be interested in contributing to the various projects that have since spun off from the Noderunners Radio.
The costs for the hardware amounted to 560k sats. We paid it out to Hero and thought it only fair to also give that same amount to Einzie and SF for their work and donated time/effort/hardware/etc. over the past year.
Lastly, we would like to thank everyone who has donated, even a single sat, or played with the Jukebox or provided us with some of the wonderful music they have encountered in their lives. THANK YOU! YOU ROCK!
PS
To make things somewhat easier on the admin level, zaps on nostr will not strictly be kept track of. However, should large zaps come in, we may use them for various purposes, like keeping the zap.stream alive or adding to the various donation jars.
