We have a World Series champion and for the first time ever it is the Texas Rangers. I don't mind it. Even though all my wife's family in Texas was rooting for the Rangers and I am glad they can enjoy this victory, I couldn't help but root for the Dbacks (despite their awful jerseys- I know I am beating a dead horse here but they are just so bad).
That closes out the 2023 MLB season and now as fans we get to look forward to all the offseason fervor of free agency and trades. Not a very compelling free agent class besides the biggest fish of them all, Ohtani, so I am expecting a fairly active offseason trade market.
Shout out to @Wumbo who ended up winning the MLB Postseason Bracket Challenge and earning 5k sats. Perfect tiebreaker score to take the title.
If you haven't yet, check out @Undisciplined's NBA in-season tournament pool. Here is the link #300839
Just an FYI, tomorrow's NFL pick weekly pick 'em post will be a bit later than usual as I have to help my folks out with some errands tomorrow morning but I will be around in the afternoon for the daily post and pick 'em post.
Sats for all.
Cheers, GR
Mets can go ahead and sign Ohtani now

Maybe but I don't think he is leaving the West Coast.

If the Mets did sign him he'd get hurt

We've already blown past the initial 5k bounty for the In-Season Tournament Survivor Pool.
My quick tally of all the zaps to the post, as well as to my comments, puts the prize at about 7k sats.
We've lucked out with the rewards algorithm choosing posts over zaps for the past couple of days.
