The tipping culture is so weird to me. Or this tip is not like the mandatory tipping on food?
I got into an argument once when I visited the US because the restaurant wanted me to pay tips on top of paying for the food. I refused, payed for my food and left.
Later it dawned on me that I totally forgot about the tipping culture. ⚰️
It's not mandatory. In fact, I don't think they are actually supposed to take tips. We do it as a courtesy. Sometimes the items (cases of water) are heavy and sometimes the weather is poor. Sure they are being paid to do this work but not well and it saves us a lot of time.
