Personally the 1% fee per year to me is insane. Over 30 years, a holder of the BTC ETF will lose 0.27 BTC (or 27% of their stack). We need to promote self-custody hard so those around us can be educated. Electrum, Cold Card and more.

Fees are in USD, not Bitcoin. Unless Bitcoin remains totally flat for 30 years they will not lose 27% of their stack.

its 1% of your investment, so maybe not exactly the same, but it still harms your total btc.

I think the ETF is inevitable, so much money to be made by TradFi with bitcoin.

I was making a stupid joke. I'm not a big fan of any of these products, whether spot, futures, options or trusts.

Fees… But fees will be in USD not Bitcoin so unless price remains flat for 30 years, people will not lose 27% of their btc.
