  1. Incentives of a small purchase to be just a little BITCOIN spent.
  2. The buying power of that Bitcoin will increase at least 1000 times in 2 years based on the trend of how Bitcoin buys over time.

You can buy gift cards with bitcoin here https://thebitcoincompany.com/ (you get sats back. I usually spend and replace so end up with more sats then I started)
And the Jade hardware wallet is available for sale in the blockstream store https://store.blockstream.com/
He has a lightning wallet but I have some sats on one of my hardware wallets set aside for him and I want him to start to learn to self custody himself. So I will send him maybe 10% of what I stack for him and send the rest over time as he gets older and more comfortable. He is 13 now.

I think Jade is a good starter hardware wallet. I bought one about six months ago and it's pretty good. Plus you get 10% sats back on blockstream gift cards from bitcoin company so it's a pretty good deal especially if you spend and replace.
