Hey,
you know how IRL (in real life) you're accountable for what you say. But on the internet - you're not.
This produced a LOT of trolling, negativity, scam and generally shitty behavior, plus a sheer volume of low quality content that's eating up your attention and time (a non-renewable resource, mind that!)
And one example that annoys the fk out of me is - Bitcoin and crypto price predictions People, NOBODY can predict the future, regardless of what they wanna make you believe.
WHAT IF we COULD hold them accountable for what they say?!!!
HOW? "Put your money where your mouth is" - ask them to place a wager on their own, predicted outcome or bet against them directly.
Price does not hit the prediction - they lose their Bitcoin. BTC gets sent to the followers, on Nostr in the form of Zaps.
Or in the case of a direct bet - to the winning party.
Bring some accountability back to social interactions. And then move to other areas and clean up the way we interact in the digital space.
Let me know what you think / reach out to me!

What if we could stop being gullible and believe all the crap we read on the interwebs

yeah, but that's not how human psychology works.
The ay it works right now is the same for all communication, TV, News, Radio, newspapers, public speakers

It's been years since I've worried about where the price is going, and that's really rewarding.

I think it's often easier to build something first yourself and then others might join
Keep the scope down, focus on the core
Etc. Etc.
Take advice from the guy who wasn't able to deliver his prediction market idea for what feels like a year, lol
reply
haha yeah that's a common one
