The Wild Wild Hustle,
Finishing the plebdev course is taking longer than expected.....I need to get more familiar with the react, which will probably just come from me re-watching the guides.
My Lightning node wasnt working for a couple of days, but was able to do a system rebuild with start9, now its smoother than before.
I have 7 pieces of the Ark rifle printed, need more filament to print the last two components and to buy the parts kit for the non plastic components.
Had an interesting experience with lightning at the nostr meetup I attended. Another start9 pleb asked which was the best setup for sovereign mobile lightning (He described his irritance using zeus over tor) Another pleb seemed absorbed with the idea of becoming a routing node with .1btc.....He seems to be in a similar state that I was in before concluding that sovereign node operator > Routing node (he also tried to create an invoice but was having trouble (Not sure if it was because of the high/medium fee environment.....).
At heart i'm still a larping newb tinkerer, that needs to read and do more research. But here is where I'm at:
Lightning
  • Run a start9 personal server
  • Use Lnbits to create Lightning (checking accounts)
  • Use Terminal for autofees/autoloops
  • Connect alby and zeus
  • Focusing on usability rather than yield
Cold Storage
  • Cold Card/Jade
  • Sparrow/Blockstream green
Privacy
  • Robosats
  • Jam
  • Vaultwarden
  • Nextcloud
  • Simplex
Mining
  • S9 heater (Other 2 broke from my meddling)
  • Started TheWildHustle LLC to deduct mining equipment purchases/conference tickets
  • Thinking about hosted miners from kaboomracks ( was thinking instead of paying 30% to gov, I'd use 30% for deductible bitcoin stuff) (Should probably donate to Open sats in combo with the LLC)
3d printing
  • Home defense tools
  • Random things around the house (Instead of Amazon)
  • Failed making the space heater case (my printers too small....
Open Source contributions
  • github issue opened for a problem with the LNBITS API
  • Taking coding courses to eventually contribute code to cool projects
  • Zapping the devs
In a perfect world I'd imagine myself crafting fedi modules, sniping github bounties and joining the development of a nostrocket group. I'd be 3d printing and designing useful pleb tools, running an LNBITS Nostr Shop selling socks or whatnot, and would have a job doing something more useful and better aligned with the principles derived from all of the text above.
Thanks for reading, Hustle
