You know, Milei has been talking about making the dollar legal tender there, maybe they can convince him to make Bitcoin legal tender as well
That's not correct. His policy is the elimination of the Argentinean Peso. The Central Bank will not issue money anymore. It will be an entity to regulate the registered banks and fintechs in Argentina.
Then, the new policy will be the "Free Trade of Currencies". You can rent your appartment in USD, in Bitcoin, in grains of Soya. Anything will be allowed between parties.
Having said this, the 99% of Argentinean will choose to work in USD as first instance. It is then when Bitcoin that won't be imposed nor forbidden can grow organically by itself.

I get that, and I'm super glad he's doing it. My questions is just what the Argentina government is going to accept for taxes, since that has one of the strongest impacts on what people regularly use for transactions

Good Question. Still we need 2 years for this process. It is not easy to eliminate all the pesos in circulation. The process will begun immediately.
But I can tell you that the Head of the tax office (AFIP) will be a Bitcoiner who is actually the CEO of the biggest trading company in Argentina (Ramiro Marra from Bullmarket Capital).
This guy is anti taxes and will be at the head of the tax office. Incredible! haha.

Among all the news about this I'm having trouble finding his actual policies. Do you happen to have a good reference?
