Twitter is falling apart not only because some woke companies decide to show some virtue-signaling and throw a tantrum to Elon. It is falling apart because the whole clown world is falling apart and it has become a central part of this system. Regardless millions of users/bots still using it, its original ethos has completely disappeared and it is now just a clown show. "Everybody is screaming and nobody is listening" paraphrasing Dorsey I think. This is why I closed my account and work for the future of Nostr.

It's not worth a billion dollars, but it isn't failing.

The main reason why X is not falling apart is the fact that it is used by pretty much all people that matters, from national presidents to ministers, from devs to CEOs, from celebrities to researchers or journalists.
Makers, doers, and even thinkers are on Twitter, and pretty much nowhere else. X is therefore one of the most important information source for the world, and I'm not even mentioning political/marketing agencies heavily using it to evaluate opinions and detect trends.
Losing a few advertisers doesn't change that.

Devs need to get paid
reply
That's true. Open-source don't get paid minimum wage usually.
reply
Open source devs can achieve high levels of righteousness, X devs tend to feel like shit and need to be paid more to compensate 😁

You are digging your own grave! X is just another troll. The people that matters are here ;)

Those are mostly companies who want children to have sex changes so they are probably just out looking for new victims. But twitter also sucks. I'm ok if if twitter and those pedo lovers all crash and burn.

I don't think anyone goes on Twitter specifically to engage with brands. Although these entities may have large followings and maybe those followers are influenced by their decision to leave and obviously the lost revenue hurts but I don't think it is falling apart. I hate the idea of turning it into Wechat of the west though.

nostr only for me, so yes...
reply
Not because of the advertisers but the way the algorithm changed destroyed the app for me.
Under every tweet nobody talks/comments/answers to the tweet - they just answer unrelated stuff. Like every viral tweets comment section is a new main timeline now. It is annoying.

Yes, didn't change for good over the last time... By the way, i now know how to quote replies right :p
