It's real, my friends. I've arrived at the most desired destination for Bitcoin lovers, El Salvador. I'll be here for a few weeks. Do you have anything you want to know about this emblematic country? Please, I'll try to answer them all.

Hello from Berlín. Forget the beach, this is the spot :)
1lb of locally raised beef is $4-$5, paid with LN.
Views are beyond this world. Air is fresh.
In 2 weeks Ive spent maybe $45, but its perfectly possible to live 100% on BTC here. Food, accomodation, gas, bike, ....you are covered.

I estimate overall cost of living to be under $600 a month. Assuming you cook and dont stay in hotels.

What is the ratio of orange pilled locals to tourists?

reply

It's certainly different my friend, the country is evolving little by little, a short time ago the capital was one of the most dangerous in the world, and today it's practically one of the safest, regarding bitcoin, companies are encouraged by the government to use it and it's real! restaurants and ice cream parlors accept this payment, certainly the challenge here is the technology to make it work, the most disadvantaged places have a certain difficulty, but the biggest victory they won was the human mind, only the indoctrinated resist these changes.

Why are you visiting? Where are you visiting? What are your goals and expectations while there?

reply

I have come to see what is called the country of bitcoin and also the safest country in the world, I am certainly not in the capital San Salvador my exact location is unknown if you know what I mean my friend, I have come to see with my own eyes how bitcoin works here and through the locals understand the reality of this country.

How is the food?

How easy is it to rent a flat/house in Bitcoin (not AirBnb kind of stuff, but long term rental)?

reply

The secret is to connect with the locals, don't present yourself as a tourist, be understandable to the citizens and they will show you the way to the gems, if you are looking in the capital you will certainly have easy access, but if you are looking for anonymity the first tip is of paramount importance valid for any nation you decide to visit.

I'll provide a spoiler: envision a fast food eatery with a tablet displaying the real-time Bitcoin exchange rate. It exists here, but bear with the complexities of the internet. Please direct any inquiries you may have.
