PRAYER OF THE DAY

Lord God, my Rock and refuge, I cry out to You on this new day. May Your voice not be silent towards me, for I fear that I will become like those who descend into the abyss.

Hear, God, the supplications of my heart when I cry out to You, raising my hands to Your holy oracle. Do not allow me to be dragged along with the wicked, who speak of peace but harbor evil in their hearts.

Grant them, Lord, according to their works and the malice of their efforts; Repay them according to the work of their hands. For they do not consider Your works, and You will tear them down without the possibility of rebuilding.

Blessed are you, Lord, for you have heard the voice of my supplications. You are my strength and shield; my heart trusts in You, and I was helped. May my heart rejoice with joy, and I will praise You with songs.

You, Lord, are the strength of Your people; You are the salvation of Your anointed. Save Your people, bless Your inheritance, shepherd them and exalt them forever. In the name of Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ,
