I dont like those JPGs, but pools censoring them is a slippery slope.

Not really. When you understand how the filter works, and that there are many others like it in Bitcoin Core you realize it's not a slippery slope at all.
But yeah, scammers and shitcoiners have been able to exploit this "censorship" narrative to great effect so far.

Stratum V2 turns that slippery slope into a grassy noel. It's on their roadmap to have that implemented, so you won't need their permission to graffiti the chain. For now, if you or any other miner disagrees, you can point your hash somewhere else.
Before, miners didn't have this option. Now they do. hardly censorship, especially when the jpeg transactions are still being validated.
If anything, giving miners a choice to express themselves on this file is pro speech.
