Cowboy hats are symbols of recognition for people who zap a lot. They reset daily so you lose the hat if you don't keep up your streak. Scroll over my hat and you will see my streak is at 9 days. Previously my streak was 150 days but I got busy one day and didn't zap so I lost my hat.
