As the first post in the ~podcasts territory I had to share what is possibly one of my favourite podcast series ever from the legend Dan Carin - Supernova in the East - the story of Japan in World War 2.

The Asia-Pacific War of 1937-1945 has deep roots. It also involves a Japanese society that's been called one of the most distinctive on Earth. If there were a Japanese version of Captain America, this would be his origin story.

The series in total is over 20 hours and I would really recommend listening to the whole thing as it provides incredible insight on one of the darkest times in modern history. If you haven't listened to it yet definitely queue it up!
Hopefully we can get Dan on Stacker News one day and forward him all those well deserved sats.
This is a great series, loved every second of it. It provides lots of context on the war effort from the Japanese perspective.
