Channel factories allow for multiple nodes to open channels amongst each other more efficiently. Not exactly the same though. Your description would basically be like if you and 5 friends had a fedimint together and ran a couple lightning nodes off of it, and as long as one is running then it supports you all sending and receiving on LN.

Basically the title. We had a few suggestions and a few projects about making an L2 like Lightning but every channel has more than 2 participants.

Unfortunately none of them seem to have come to throughition. 😟😟 

Imagine a channel of 5 people. 3 people of them could just stay offline and let the 2 online parties sign the HTLCs. Privacy is even better since with every jump from channel to channel the origin become much more unclear. Security would be much worse since they would have to be designed in a way that no 2 people ever collude. 

Idk if or how it could work. Would you want it?
