I often wonder this. With cats, it feels like there is a fine line between their affection and need to kill.
They are far more wild than dogs. Much closer to their wild ancestors than dogs are. That is my theory for their need to kill. They are predators.
I love both dogs and cats. I used to think much less of cats than I do today. Owning a few over the past 20 years has enlightened me to their qualities and value.
