I would say it is risker in the browser in general.

That said, it is convenient to use a wallet like Alby for some things. Mutiny is a self custody mobile and browser wallet. I trust it for spending money but not my life's savings. It is riskier to carry cash in your pocket than stored in a safe. Its really about tradeoffs. I tend to have some bitcoin in mobile applications wallets for spending. But the vast majority of it is in cold storage.

Ideally you would only use hot wallets for amounts that wouldn't be life changing to lose.
