Is a node a touchstone in the sense that it performs validation? It makes me wonder what other precious metal metaphors can convey things a full node can do. Mining is the more commonly used one. Nodes validate but also optionally relay for block inclusion which doesn't seem to have a clear metaphor. Gold transfers are peer to peer.
