How optimistic are you for the future?

What do you think the world will look like in 10, 20... years? Are you optimistic our lives will be better? Will the world overall be better?
On one hand I am really optimistic since computing, internet and machinery are making amazing leaps. I also think that biohacking stuff will cure so many diseases and extend healthy human lifetime very soon.
On the other hand I could imagine a world where productivity increases from robotics etc. don't land in the hands of everyday people. Also our society could stumble over our sick money and debt crisises and not very resilient supply lines. Loosing jobs due to reduction of redundant infrastructures in different countries, to automation...

Bitcoin is an amazing freedom tool. I have confidence that open source code, network effects, plebs, maxi's and the white paper will defeat centralized authoritarian policies. Its crazy to think that all it takes, is a decision from the individual.
On the job note, I think the nature of work is going to take an unexpected turn. Loved watching the K,Rooke podcast with Paul from Stakwork. His knowledge graph vision, and similar tasking models could provide work for the entire human race....
Background: 2019 humble pleb, ran into bitcoin while starting a sole prop, (DSB Internet Evaluations) in hopes utilize and promote new remote earning opportunities. I created a website with merch, created YouTube videos, found contract work with Telus International and Lionbridge, have used Userzoom/Neevo/Clickworker/Respondent. Transitioned to Twitter/Stacker News/Mining/Lightning node management/Reacher.me/Vida etc.
Broke living in the hood, but super bullish on future stacking opportunities.

I'm optimistic because I think that the Internet and Bitcoin will help many people through the hard times and allow them to prosper in the good times. As a matter of fact, I think that these technologies are required for our societies to become more free.
Not only am I optimistic, I also have no tolerance for being black pilled. If you're black pilled, don't spread the despair to others. If you do that, you might as well aid the people who degrade our society and money.

Short-term (20 years): Global politics will fuck everything up.
Long-term: (50 years) After the fuck-up, there will be an age of peace and prosperity.

It might sound silly, but you HAVE TO be optimistic, otherwise you just opt for the early check-out and blow your head. It's a little extreme, but you can only live expecting a better future, or maybe that is THE reason to live, because your goal is to strive for a better tomorrow, not only for yourself, but people around you and specially your kids. Your question is valid though, watching the clown world unfolding around you, one may wonder if things are going any better. But in a way mankind has always lived in a state of near collapse, so this time around it won't be any different, check @v1intage reply. I guess we all share some common interests here, and the one thing that makes me really have hope for tomorrow is bitcoin. Bitcoin is a peaceful revolution as the world has never seen any before.

I think there's going to be a crunch time and regression of society for at least a few decades, in terms of efficiency, comfort, output. I think BTC will help but it will still be a bumpy time.
Even with BTC we run the risk of split society, with lots of structural inequality based on human behaviour (outside the realm of BTC economic game theory).

That's true. But my optimism/pessimism can also be about whether I have to work at 90 year old or if I can help raise my grand children at 60 and chill on my veranda.
