The image was recorded by the James Webb Space Telescope. The new images reveal detailed features of Uranus' seasonal north polar cap, as well as bright storms near and below the cap's southern edge. If humans want to send a spacecraft to visit Uranus up close, they need to understand how to navigate the debris in its rings.
