There is a community censorship mechanism: flagging posts. If a post gets sufficiently flagged it will be labelled "outlawed" and only those who opt into seeing outlawed content will see it.
As others have said, the post costs are intended to reduce spam not real speech.

Also, if you attempt to many posts too quickly the sats fee rises. Wait a bit of you see posting fee go up to 100 sats.
