I mean, it only did because the new government aligned the bank price of the peso with the street price (thereby giving a huge gift to rich farmers). It didn't change the actual price of BTC. If you could really have bought BTC for the official bank price before, that would have been a 100% arbitrage opportunity. It wasn't real.
