Google has all their contacts, all their calendar events, all their email, all their search history. They even have every single time they have driven over the speed limit, with data to prove it, etc.
I mean, of course they will. It's an outrage, but it is what it is.
What I find more interesting: on hacker news, where this is from (link chain.. nostr, ycombinator, twitter...) the post was flagged, even though it's a perfectly fitting topic and a good discussion,
Two people (quite rightly) suggested using yandex for sensitive searches (I could think of more options). The older comment got downvoted to the basement.
What do we learn from this? What we already knew, Hacker News is CNN-land.
