Yeah, it has a timer and you lose 2 minutes for each mistake.

But I ran out of time only twice so far.

There's also a Mario Picross 2 on the SNES, it's Japan-only though.

The actual name of this type of puzzle is Nonogram, there's a lot of online and printable puzzles with different sizes for all tastes.

This is a game I should try and find. I didn’t know I enjoyed this style of  puzzle game until there was an iOS game called Paint It Back. Like the relaxing vibe but still a challenge.
