Every sat this territory earns on fees will be donated to Bitcoin/NOSTR projects built with .NET.
I have no idea how many .NET freaks are around here (probably not much) given it is quite niche combination of technologies but we have some awesome stuff built with it already (eg BTCPay server). Ideally OpenSats will help to distribute sats to the subset of projects they manage. If that would be against their policies I'll pick the project.
Any ideas and suggestions are welcome.
Spent a large part of my career as a .NET dev. Awesome framework, C# is an awesome language. Left the ecosystem just as Core was coming out, but I’ve heard good things!

Congrats on starting the territory btw. I’m new to @sn and somewhat of a .NET freak. I’ll be keeping my 👀 out.

I always thought that .NET is a microsoft product, so always staid away from it

You are right, yet it is FOSS for many years already. Same way Typescript or VS Code is.

TS and VSCode 🔥

Microsoft maintains it, but the C# language itself is an ISO standard.

I didn’t know BTCPay Server was built with .NET, that’s pretty cool.

Seems like putting together the list of relevant .NET FOSS projects would be good way to start!
reply
YES! Especially ones that are Bitcoin/Nostr-related.

I never understood the difference among .com, .org, .net etc. And some domains don't even have a unique one (IDK what it is called so I'll say "one") like mempool.space. Can you describe the differences for me?
