So by sharing what I have learned and passing it on, I can use my contributions to society as a replacement for a genetic-based legacy?
I don't know how much satisfaction I will get from that, but also, I'm just one random insignificant guy. I don't think anything I do matters.

Moral relativism is a lie. To be a human is one of the most difficult things to happen in the universe. You don't just get to be a human. It takes billions of years of energy to manifest into a human being.
Your legacy is not complete. Your being is still happening. Your ability to create is not finished by any means.
