I view casinos like amusement parks. fun for those who enjoy that sort of thing but also can be expensive. at least with casinos you can possibly win your money back.

Gambling addiction is worse than drug addiction though. You can lose everything you own in Vegas in a course of a couple hours. Go from the top.of.the mountain to rock bottom in literal fucking hours. Drug addiction take a lot longer to do that to you given you don't overdose.

i don't disagree with you. gambling addiction is real and a serious condition. that doesn't make casinos a scam though. it just makes gambling a vice.

As.someom that knows.the house edge of almost every table game any casino spreads along with basic strategy for those games, I wouldn't call it a scam, id call it exactly what it is, risky. I spent my 18-25 years studying and gambling all over the us midwest and ontario. The only games in the casinos without any house edge is poker likee.hold'em and Omaha because you're not playing against the house. the house only takes a very small rake out of every pot it's like a service fee. That's what I mostly played and I paid my way through my undergrad degree playing 1/2, 2/5.no limit hold em and 1/2,.2/4, pot limit Omaha. But I studied every single game these casinos offer and the lowest.house edge in the casino, if they spread it, is mini baccarat. if that's not offered it's.the pass line on the craps table.

Poker is the only game where you don't play directly against the house. They rake a percentage of each pot.
