Will be interesting to see how the market reacts. If a non-trivial number of people leave it would be really bad for them -- everything is connected to Prime. I don't think most people who pay for it are really sensitive to $3/month, but they might be sensitive to re-evaluating how much shit they wind up buying from AMZN.
High-risk play for a money grab, seems like.

Many people have a high time preference. Their thinking is, "I spend 200 bucks at the bar on the weekend. I'll just get my buddies over and watch stuff at home. I'm saving money."
