Happy New Year fellow stackers!
Let's all have a great year and continue to make SN the place to be on the internet.
The NFL playoff picture is shaping up nicely. Damn the Ravens look good. Not that I was a Miami believer to begin with but the Ravens are most definitely playing the best, most complete football of any team in the league right now. They haven't had a lot of playoff success but I expect that will change this year. What happened to the Eagles? Lost four of five and let's not forget the 3 games before this streak they barely beat the Cowboys, Chiefs and Bills and likely should have lost all 3 of those games without some help from their opponent. Maybe they will get right before the playoffs but I just don't seem them as a contender anymore. Chiefs on the other hand I think could still find some magic, likely with an assist from the refs as usual, to manage to win the AFC.
Finally some bowl games today that people might actually want to watch. I have to support my wife's side of the family here and cheer for Texas. Hook 'em. I guess Georgia proved they were actually still the best team in CFB but happened to lose the wrong game. 63-3???
Sats for all, GR
so we're taking a page out of the nfl's book, and just not talking about how the refs handed the cowboys a win with that bullshit illegal touching call? cool. cool cool cool.
reply
Hahaha yeah they got screwed. @Undisciplined talked about it a bit but that was on the betting thread. Saturday seems so long ago. Lions v.s Rams in wild card round in Detroit and then you get to go back to Dallas and beat the Cowboys again before coming to Santa Clara for the NFC Championship game. Not bad.
reply
All three of the games I really watched this weekend were heavily impacted by bad officiating.
The Lions were trying to be confusing and they did too good a job of it.
reply
they barely beat the Cowboys, Chiefs and Bills
Of course, if you do that at the right time, you might win a Super Bowl.
I don't think the Chiefs can go 4 straight games relying on the refs to bail them out. Someone's going to blow them out at some point.
Barring injuries, I think we're heading for a very entertaining 49ers/Ravens Super Bowl.
reply
I don't think the Chiefs can beat the Ravens in Baltimore but I think the Browns might be able to in a low scoring defensive battle. Lamar plays much better against non divisional opponents. I also think the Bills might be able to if Allen has one of his unstoppable games but he hasn't had many this year and the Bills D is banged up so it will be tough.
I think you are probably right about Ravens and 49ers but it's the NFL a lot can happen.
reply
Someone described Josh Allen as this generation's Favre (hopefully, without the dick picks and welfare scandals). He's talented enough to win any game by himself, but reckless enough to loss any game by himself.
reply
Sounds about right.
reply
The D is getting healthy! The problem with the bills all season long is the inconsistent offense. The defense is good enough to win it all

Any chance Milano comes back in playoffs?
reply
I don’t think so. Maybe the Super Bowl but the linebacker play has been pretty good
reply
Milano is awesome though. I think he is right up there with the elite LBs in the league.
reply
He's definitely always making huge plays when I watch Buffalo games, so it seems like a big loss, however good those other guys are playing.
Apparently, Buffalo will either be the two seed or get bounced from the playoffs. Big game for them.
reply
Colts play the Texans so one of those teams will be eliminated. I guess it depends what happens with the Steelers if the Bills lose.
Raps started RJ and IQ.
We have our 1st Winter Classic shutout
reply
I noticed that. I always like the winter classic jerseys.
reply
I really liked Seattle's

And the refs (for Philly)
Bills need to win or risk being eliminated. Something is up with josh Allen. We should’ve spanked pats but passing offense looks lost.
