I of course use lightning to pay all my services. It recently came to my attention that CoinGate are overcharging massively for transaction fees. They seem to treat lightning payments as normal on chain transactions, fee wise.

Does anyone have anything to add? Is this a bug or intentional? I've contacted CoinGate support and is waiting for a proper reply. I contacted the service and they basically say "it's not our problem, cannot do anything", which I found infuriating. They should care that their clients are overpaying by basically 100%?

IMO we cannot have adoption if service providers are acting like this......
