Not something I learned today but a cool hack I use often is with a tool called ngrok.

ngrok lets you take a local host and forward it to a temporary global host. You can use this to trick almost any Lightning wallet to letting you connect to a regtest node that you are running locally on your own machine (such as https://lightningpolar.com)
