Satirical posts like those from @thebitcoinbugle are occasionally humorous, but it’s annoying that they’re lumped into ~news and other more serious territories.
I propose SN (or an ambitious user) creates a ~satire territory. Ideally there ships also be a site policy for satire posts to only be allowed in the designated territory, although I recognize this is more likely to be left to the community to enforce through existing methods.
I’m not interested in creating/maintaining a territory, but I’ll gladly deposit more sats to megazap someone who does.
Yeah idk. We are posting with the same journalistic standards as other news publications. We strive to have the same publishing standards as the New York times with equal or higher levels of accuracy.
That being said, would definitely be willing to post in Satire if someone did that

Haha, thanks for the reply! I appreciate your work, it’s just that the headlines can be so difficult to distinguish that it adds extra cognitive overhead to using the site.
Personally I would prefer to make more efficient use of my time here. I’d visit the territory sometimes, and I’d also appreciate not needing to check the username on every other news headline to see if it’s (supposed to be) real. Interested to read more thoughts from the community.

Yeah I mean the same could be requested of all the CIA operated news sources. I don't think people learning to think harder and verifying information is an issue

I think it's funnier if the satirical post is placed in the territory of the subject of the satire. My two sats
