I don't spend a lot of time thinking or talking about coaches but I am going to mention coaches for the second day in a row. I promise this won't become a trend but what it is going on with all the coaching changes in the NFL? The NFL is commonly referred to as meaning Not For Long and that seems apt.
3 coaches let got before the end of the season and now 5 more this week. Including future hall of famers Pete Carroll and Bill Belichick. The Chargers, Panthers, Raiders, Falcons, Commanders, Titans, Seahawks and Patroits are all in need of new head coaches. It definitely seems like the NFL is trending towards younger, more player first coaches. It will be interesting to see who fills all these positions and if there are anymore changes on the horizon.
Speaking of NFL I was looking at the spreads for the upcoming wild card round games and the widest spreads were the 2/7 matches in both leagues, which makes sense based on seeding. Currently the Bills are -10 over the Steelers and the Cowboys are -7.5 over the Packers.
Which one of those games do you think is more likely to produce an upset? Personally, I would take the Packers as more likely to upset the Cowboys. I do think we will see at least one upset this weekend. If the Chiefs, Eagles, and Cowboys all got eliminated this weekend on top of the Seahawks missing the playoffs and firing their coach, that would be almost as good as the 49ers winning the superbowl. Almost.
Sats for all, GR
Wow! I hadn't seen the Carroll or Belichick news, yet. I had heard reports about both of them being on thin ice throughout and even before the season. I think owners are just becoming really impatient, but there probably is some player empowerment stuff factoring in as well.
I feel like the Cowboys are more likely to blow it, but the Steelers are more likely to steal it. I'll take Tomlin's Steelers as more likely to pull off the upset.

Vrabel to the pats perhaps? There's history there, same with maybe Flores?
I'm surprised the pats didn't try to trade BB, I'm sure he'd attract an offer.
I hope GB doesn't upset the cowboys because... Well... That would suck for me. And I hope the dolphins expose the chiefs... But the phins are unfortunately held together by wishes and duct tape at this point, they're injured everywhere.

I guess it depends what direction Pats want to go. Vrabel is more of an old school guy.
Sorry I know you despise the Pack. FTP and all but the Cowboys are the devil and they must be defeated.
In fact I kind of like the Pack. Youngest team in the league. Hard to root against them. Unless they are in your division of course.

I honestly don't hold any grudge against the Packers apart from obviously FTP. Not being from America I don't really care about border battles or all of that that comes with it. Division rivalry is one thing, but hating on them because they're Wisconsin and the Vikings are Minnesota... Nah, not my bag.
I don't really like them as an organisation, I don't think most of the former players have had good things to say about them. But also... I dislike them less now that Aaron Rodgers is gone. He was too smug for my tastes.
