A lot of time has passed after my post about, but I remember I promised that I make a research in my city (a big city in Romania) about where / in which industry are Bitcoin accepted as payment for goods and/or services, or simply where I can make tips with Btc. Here is my past post about a restaurant (it was my first experrience in this way): #311211

So...here are the results of my "research" :)

I tried to pay with Btc (satoshis) in many ways / forms / places / etc...

My first territory was the HORECA industry (and this was the most "open minded" industry). In majority of restaurants Btc is accepted, but JUST as tips for waiters. Same situation in hotels also, we can pay the tips for waiters, maid, etc... It exist 2 restaurants who accept Bitcoin payment for their services (foods & delivery), but after payment this is changed INSTANTLY to fiat money (they don't reserve / stack Bitcoin), and the invoice is calculed based on the actual Binance exchange rate. The situation in food delivery industry is more favorable. Almost all couriers are accepting Bitcoin via LN as tips, and most of these are ready to accept the whole payment in satoshi (I asked it about, and these couriers are satoshi stackers, and they will complete the fiat money - invoice calue - for services from their own money, and keeps the sats. This thing (that almost all couriers are accepting Btc payments) is because of their average age...couriers are between 18-40 years usually, and more opened to try new technologies.

Second industry: TAXI drivers Same situation like in case of couriers...younger drivers are accepting Btc as tips, around 50% are accepting Btc as payment for the transporting service.

3rd industry: public institutions (like finance administration, mayor's office, tax office

Here the situation is like in 1900's years... :P Are accepted just cash, even debit / credit card payment. Majority of these employed are never heard about Bitcoin... sad :(

4th industry: health services (hospitals and pharmacy)... A little bit better situation than in public institutions, but not good... Noboody accept Btc, but somebody heard about... I asked a 3 pharmacists who heard about Btc (and have a LN wallet) to accept my Btc payment, "because I don't have cash", and just 1 from these 3 accepted...it was not a high amount, jus $3-4 for some Magnesium and C-Vitamins.

So...finally...to talk a little bit about conclusions...

Here, in Romania around 50-60% of peoples heard about Bitcoin, but just 10-20% are know what is it in reality... The younger generation are more open minded than older generations, and Ireally was surprised that many of them have atleast a LN wallet... Who have LN (or even BTC onchain) wallet, are accepting payment in Bitcoin (Satoshi).

I did not discovered any differences between the sexes habit as for Bitcoin... Womans and mans are usually accepted Bitcoin payemnt from me in equal proportion.

I think in 10-20 years, the Btc will be adopted by peoples...and this will be the way when governments will have no choice...they will also have to accept it!

Don't forget, that all of this article is JUST & STRICTLY based on my personal experrience, and it is not a scientific research.

Remember, that stacking sats & Bitcoin is very good to exit fiat...not to make more fiat! ;)
