Chile is one of the main countries that Brazilians visit abroad and has surprising landscapes. The country's geography is very peculiar: extensive in length, but not very wide — these characteristics allow landscapes and climates to change completely throughout its territory.

About Chile - the country's main destinations
Whether you want to explore its modernity or enjoy its gastronomy, Santiago is always a good idea. Not only because of the activities it offers, but because there are also many cool tours to be taken from the city, such as visiting Valle Nevado, Viña del Mar or Valparaíso, on the shores of the Pacific Ocean.

To the north, visiting the Atacama Desert, where it almost never rains, is an experience unlike anything you've ever seen. The region has volcanoes, rock formations, salt desert, lakes for contemplation or swimming without sinking, historical sites and a wonderful sky, ideal for watching the stars!

To the south of the country, there is the Lakes region, with small and charming destinations, such as Puerto Varas, at the foot of the Osorno Volcano, which becomes a ski resort in winter. Further south are destinations such as Pucón, which also has a volcano — this time called Villarica — and Torres del Paine, with beautiful snowy landscapes and a perfect destination for those who enjoy hiking. Chilean Patagonia is a box of surprises, humid, with many forests and unique landscapes... different from the arid north of the country, but equally surprising.

When to go to Chile - best time to travel

Chile is a country with very different climates, so when thinking about traveling to the country, you need to analyze it case by case, think about the destination you intend to visit and what weather conditions you prefer to find.

In the north and Atacama Desert, the climate is like that of the desert: hot during the day and cold at night. In summer, daytime temperatures are very hot.

In the south of the country, the cold is more constant, with snow in several destinations during the winter and heat (generally mild) in the summer. In Santiago the seasons are well defined: it is hot in summer and cold in winter, with the possibility of skiing in resorts close to the capital in the colder months.
