Translation. Zero impact. Not sure they've noticed but electricity rates have been increasing way more than 1% a year in many parts of the world. Not gonna be fixed on the consumption side. At least I haven't seen how it would be.
In most places peak power consumption doesn't match peak power production at least where solar is a major energy source. Batteries in homes help with this and if you have an EV, batteries make a lot of sense. Personally I don't like the risk/reward of having huge batteries in my home that are pretty impossible to put out if a fire breaks out.
