I think this is more so speaking to the fact that as protocol layers progress, the outer layer will be custodial/centralized until a layer absorbs the use case.

For now, a Stacker News style UX is easiest to describe custodially but I highly doubt that'll be the case in the future. I'll be exploring non-custodial solutions later this year and should have a better idea of how close we are realizing this.
