For me, a (now mostly) carnivore diet, eating lots of fat, has resulted in a huge improvement in mental state. To clarify - it wasn't bad before, I was probably better off than most in terms of mood.
But now after a couple months of carnivore, my mood, optimism, and positivity is much higher, and very steady.
I'm hoping to convince a few people that I know, who have mental health challenges, to try this. Anyone have good resources? I think maybe interviews with Chris Palmer (book Brain Energy) might be good.
Also I just heard a podcast where the interviewee didn't call it carnivore, she said 'low-carb'. I think that may be more acceptable to people. People hear the word carnivore, they think 'crazy'.
