I think the drivers license is necessary but I don't understand why the government is in charge of it. I could easily get a license from my insurance company they probably have a bigger interest in me being a safe driver than gov anyway
I mean we don't use technology to improve road safety at all it seems. It's just the same old way pretty much with a few policeman for every 100k motorists or so "keeping order". But if insurance companies was in charge they would use technology and incentives rather than punishment to create safer roads and it will work and driving in general would be a better experience. Who doesn't keep a look out for the police when you drive? That's wrong. The police is supposed to serve and protect you and you are watching your back for them when viditing family or commuting to work? Thats wrong. Get them out of road safety except when someone is on a rampage
