T Rex was a British rock band formed in the late 1960s by Marc Bolan. He was the singer, song writer, and only consistent member of the band. They had a string of hits in the 1970s. Marc Bolan tragically died in a car accident in 1977. This is their most popular song, and my favorite. Here's Bang A Gong (Get It On):
