Oh God, loving and faithful Father, we come to You on this new day, inspired by 1 John 5:1-21, recognizing that we are Your children by faith in Jesus Christ. We thank you for the promise of eternal life that we find in Your beloved Son.

Lord, may we love one another as You have loved us, thus fulfilling Your commandments. Grant us the grace to overcome the world through our faith, trusting that Jesus is the Son of God.

Give us the certainty that, in Christ, we are born of God and protected by Your love. May this confidence strengthen us in the face of the challenges we face today. Guide us by the Holy Spirit to discern Your will in all situations.

Lord, we pray for our fellowship with you and with each other. May intercession and love be fundamental in our lives, following the example of Jesus. Deliver us from the evil one and grant us understanding of the truth that is in Christ.
