Ever heard of Wardley Mapping? (A search on SN for "Wardley" brings up only 1 post from 2022 - with no comments and zapped 1 sat - so it's probably safe to assume it hasn't been discussed here.)
I've only just discovered it myself, so I was wondering if anybody else has had any experience with it?
Developed by Simon Wardley, it primarily deals with a novel way to model strategy, whether business, IT, or (seemingly) anything important enough to want to strategize for.
"Remember, all models are wrong but some are useful." ~ Simon Wardley
I found these 4 short introductory videos very interesting - perhaps even compelling - and thought 'tech' stackers might too.
How and why to map your business:
I've seen his book online, and thought it was quite interesting -- basically, trying to uncover the dynamics of a business environment, viewing it as an ecological model, really, although I don't think he talks in those terms.
It seemed useful for thinking through complex domains.

I made the post shortly after starting to read his book. So it's still very early, but so far I find it fascinating.
The book is free, but there's also a paid online course - based on the book, but by someone else - that looks promising. I may consider taking the course.

Is there a domain that you have special interest in applying the model to?
Keep us updated, in any event. Cool topic.

Yes, sort of. A client asked my to help them expand their business into "adjacent areas because their growth has stagnated". They've been managing properties for more than 30 years. When they couldn't articulate any business strategy to me, I decided to try and address that first.
