Yeah, comfort makes you lose your edge.
Over time you become a worse version of what you used to be.
It's a personal choice, but I think it's great to experience discomfort from time to time.
What's discomfort to you?

Not eating anything for a couple of days.
Not wearing a jacket when you go out into a cold night.
Live in a smaller place that you can afford.
Not putting the air con when the hot is melting you.
Taking a cold shower in a freezing morning.
Etc.
Basically, training your body and mind for bad situations, so that when you have to face those situations in the future you are well prepared for it.
In the end this makes you free, because there is nothing that you fear since you've trained for every discomfort you could face.

Albeit it a discomfort you face for a (very) short time.
Humans are master of adaptation; if the day of discomfort comes, I'll adapt or die.
Until then I'll stay in my cozy comfort zone, most of the time, then.
