My family and I are down for the count. We're trying to get as much rest as we can, but that's tough to do with two kids that are still pretty active.
So far I'm jugging ginger lemon tea, and I'm trying not to move around too much.
Baron O'Neal always talks about putting onions in your socks to pull out the sickness. Not sure I'm going to do that, but I'd love to know what remedies work for you.

personally, a strong dose of exercise (cardio especially) and fresh air helps me clear out my system when i’m under the weather.
if i’m not feeling up for exercise, sleep is usually my next pick.

I've had the flu twice in the past 6 weeks, it was terrible. What I felt worked was citrus tea with half a lemon squeezed in, 1 tbs of raw honey, and a couple shakes of Turmeric. Took that twice a day for the first two days and was feeling better on day 3 (both times)
I have 2-3 friends that also swear on the onions in your socks when you sleep, but no personal experience there.

lots of rest/sleep and doses fresh air are the best things you can do for yourself (imo).
raw garlic is also a good one, immediately followed by an apple to mitigate the harshness of the garlic. this is especially helpful for throat ailments.

I've definitely heard of taking raw garlic, but the apple is a pro tip. Thank you!

This should work if you are generally healthy individual. This is Dr Zelensky Protocol and worked for me.
Vitamin D3 5000iu 1 time a day for 7 days Vitamin C 1000mg 1 time a day for 7 days Zinc 25mg 1 time a day for 7 days Quercetin 500mg 1 time a day for 7 days
Again at least if you go to urgent care or your PCP they should give you tamiflu. Don't take this as medical advice.

I think you mean Barbara O'Neill. Yeah, we've done the onions in the sock thing. Pretty sure it works. If you have lots of mucas, you can try mullein tea. I actually think good old fashioned lemon and honey works incredibly well. Real lemon and honey though, not those pharma lemsip sachets.

These are supposed to be quite effective:
Nasal spray: 2-3 times a day A 1% povidone-iodine nasal spray and a nasal spray with Iota-Carrageenan are potent inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza virus, and dramatically alter the course of infections with these viruses. Nasal irrigations with saline as well as neutral electrolyzed water may also be of some benefit.
Mouthwash: 2-3 times daily Antiseptic-antimicrobial mouthwashes have been shown to inhibit replication of multiple respiratory viruses, including influenza and RSV. We recommend products containing chlorhexidine, povidone-iodine, cetylpyridinium chloride (e.g., Scope™, Act™, Crest™, or the combination of eucalyptus, menthol, and thymol (e.g., Listerine™).
There's other items in the protocol, check them out: https://covid19criticalcare.com/protocol/flu-rsv-treatment/
The organization that puts out this information (FLCCC alliance) were very good during covid in providing treatment protocols, I really respect them.

Recently (the first week of the year 2024) I have had a cold that has left me completely immobile. Very cold, fever and desire to sleep.
However, the remedies that have worked for me, on this and previous occasions, are (although I had not gotten sick since 2021):
  • Even if you are very cold, don't cover yourself.
  • Ventilate the house and/or room where you spend the most time a lot.
  • Go out and sunbathe, even if it's just 30 minutes a day.
  • Drink hot water with lemon. You can add honey (natural please) and even ginger to increase the effects.
  • Oregano. You can take it in your meals, with the spice you find in stores or naturally, or in the form of essential oil.
  • Last but not least, listen to your body. He tells you what he really needs, and he doesn't have to match what others feel or experience.
Apart from this, when we get hurt or catch a cold, even discovering some "illness", it is a message to see something that we are not doing as our soul really expected.
A personal case Example, personal. +10 years ago I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism. It affects the thyroid and is autoimmune, according to doctors (all of them), incurable and for life. I was going to have to take a pill every day of my life, the rest of my life. About 3 years ago I started on the path of listening to my body more, and entering the spiritual world. Today, I do not have any of the symptoms of Hypothyroidism.
