Looks like I finally found a reason to hire that virtual assistant. From now on, I'm writing all my posts and comments for SN on paper, scanning it, and sending it to my VA to post.
I often write my to-do list out on a piece of paper, once I've edited it on a laptop.
It makes it much more real, more likely to be completed.

I find this absolutely true in my personal life. If I truly want to retain something long term I need to write it in my own hand.
I discovered this years ago and became a fountain pen but. I love writing notes with 100 year old pens.

This to me has to be true depending on the generation you were born in because the Gen Z kids have effectively utilized the effect of typing whether it be on a keyboard, touch screen, or keypad.

Since the research scope consisted of University students, most of which are GenZ. The working assumption would then be that this also applies to them.

There's a reason they tell you to take notes as a student.

Stamping letters into metal more than hand writing

I never try to draw on a computer (cause i spend most of my day on computer: more than 9 hours) so drawing had to be with a pencil or a pen or what ever it is .
The way you can do a curve, a line, an angle, an error.... i m not sur the computer will allow the same ( cause a computerlooks for the perfection, for another kind of quality draw, for another color...)
but may be i m wrong, who tried both ? and what is your opinion ?

Lol so my to-do lists are the last thing keeping my brain together, but I can totally see it, with writing today online, using spell checkers and AI, you can easily disconnect from the process

Completely agree with this. I write my to do list in a moleskine notebook for about 8 years now and cross things out using a pencil. The tangibility of writing your thoughts on pen and paper, especially when you’re stressed out somehow makes things a lot easier to deal with sometimes. Especially if you’re someone like me that lives in their heads way too much! haha.

I write on an iPad with an Apple Pencil— it certainly makes a difference.

I like to write some fiction from time to time. I always need to write by hand first as my creative flow is more organic and intimate. Later I like to work on a word processor as I can reorganize my ideas, but my hand writing is always the first step.
