Its much more than just central planning of an economy.
The goal of Marxists is to remake man into new Socialist Man.
As a gnostic cult, Marx perceived society as a prison. Liberation from that prison, to a utopian vison of primordial oneness with the universe, was the role of praxis in the Historical process.
Praxis is the use of people’s revolutionary energy that you help manufacture by getting them all worked up about their circumstance.
Marx was sure the proletariat would revolt and join his program once they realized that industrial capitalism was oppressing them.
What he didnt expect was free market economics actually working well for the proletariate and capitalism kneecapped his attempt to generate revolutionary energy as it was able to provide the working class with a good quality of life.
